EBF5 Damage Calculator
Having difficulty with that one achievement for dealing 10 million damage in Epic Battle Fantasy 5?
Use this calculator to help you plan out your attack for MAXIMUM DAMAGE!!!
Just plug in the stats of the character you're attacking with and the enemy you're fighting, then
press "Calculate Damage" to see how much damage you'll do!
A couple of notes:
- Damage in this game can be represented by using the following formula:
- Player attack stat: base attack * ((100 + food bonus) / 100) *
((100 + equipment modifier) / 100) * ((100 + attack buff) / 100)
- Enemy defense stat: base defense * ((100 + defense buff) / 100)
- If the attack is physical, only physical attack and defense are considered, whereas if the attack
is magical, only magical attack and defense are considered.
- A skill may only be partially elemental. If an element is less than 100% elemental, part of the damage
is calculated without factoring in elemental resistance, status effects, or equipments' elemental boosts.
- Base character stats are displayed in-game as the character's actual base stat times the food bonus,
meaning you can't see the actual food bonus in-game. For that reason, you may just put in the player's
base stat and leave the food bonus as zero. You may also leave the equip bonus as zero if you
put in the player's stat after equipment.
- Some pieces of equipment boost the power of skills of certain elements.
The amount equipment boosts damage by is denoted by the formula, (20 + (2 * level))%.
This means a level 1 piece of equipment boosts damage by 22%, while a level 5 piece boosts damage by 30%.
Both a weapon and an armor may be equipped at once, boosting damage by a maximum of 60% if both pieces of
equipment are level 5.
- For the elemental resistances, a positive resistance means the enemy takes less damage from
that element, while a negative resistance means the enemy takes more damage. A resistance over
100% means the enemy is actually healed by that damage.
- A critical hit deals x1.5 damage, meaning a x2 critical is x2 damage and a x3 critical is x2.5 damage
- The final damage in-game is multiplied by a random factor, usually 10%, meaning the attack deals
95-105% of the damage calculated. Other skills use a different factor, such as Lucky Star, which uses
a factor of 150%.
